We recommend the one-time payment of $2.99 to unlock all the content in this app. The game is full of fact sheets about dinosaurs plus a chance to hear what scientists think they sounded like. Of course, there’s an opportunity to unearth bones, but our playtesters especially loved being able to paint the dinosaurs they discovered. We also liked the problem-solving skills required for the puzzles like rebuilding a dinosaur skeleton.
Magisterapp, the creators of the game, have a track record of positive privacy protection in their apps and don’t require any personally identifiable information from players. The app is also free of ads, even if you’re playing without the upgrade to the full version.
The app also features offline play, making this a great app for on the go to keep your little one entertained and learning.
Upon opening the app you’ll directly enter the gameplay experience. There are various stages for kids to work their way through and parental guidance is recommended for younger kids.
There are plenty of activities and as players complete each one a cute round of applause lets them know they’ve done well and encourages them to keep going. Our playtesters especially loved digging for the various bones and enjoyed the music and fun sound effects. Some even imitated the sounds of the dinosaurs, so be prepared for some roars in the house!
As your child finds dinosaurs a fun fact sheet will be presented, which we found to be a great learning experience for both parent and child.
There are numerous puzzles that are great for developing problem-solving skills and for an early understanding that individual units make up a whole set. We also found the coloring activities to be a great time to practice identifying colors.
