ABOUT
Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame is a bilingual app in English and Spanish that’s designed to help children boost their problem-solving skills, while also helping parents learn a new behavioral approach in teaching their kids.
We love that this helps kids’ develop problem-solving skills with everyday challenges they may encounter in their day-to-day life. The premise is to teach kids how to be calm and think of a solution to resolve the problems of the characters encountered in the game. The sequence of breathe teaches kids to learn how to calm themselves, think employs problem-solving skills, and do encourages action after they’ve completed the first two tasks.
The instructions in the game are clear and simple, and like all Sesame Street properties, has fun colors, graphics, and animations that completely enrapture young kids.
There are basic parental controls with more detailed instructions on how to incorporate the learnings from the game into their childs daily life.
The app is completely free, has no ads, and has a stellar privacy policy.

GAME PLAY
When you start the game, there’s a welcoming voice that provides instructions on how to play. There are 5 activities a child can choose from, all of which are similar to everyday challenges kids at their age may encounter.
Naturally, the game is full of Sesame Street “monsters” who make kids feel at ease and draw them into the engaging experience. All of our playtesters enjoyed the stories and had some good laughs at the character reactions throughout the experience.
One of our playtesters, a 9-year-old with mild autism, found particular benefit in using the tools from this app to help manage triggering situations. By returning to the app, the player was able to imitate the characters in pausing to breathe, think, and then do, lessening the overwhelming situation.
Overall this is a great developmental tool for any young child (and parents too!).
