The game opens up on the title page, and immediately, a character will pop out of an apartment into a city. On the street, you can place your characters out of your character dock into the world, around a small construction site, on the street, etc. While most locations are behind a one-time paywall, this free version offers 2 locations for kids to play in. The gameplay revolves around imaginative play with the characters in their environment. It is much like a digital dollhouse as you play around with their clothing and accessories. This game is similar to Toca games but offers more in terms of sound design and 3D graphics.

Summary
Although Urban City Stories has a paywall, the unlockable content is large. $5 goes a long way in this imaginative play game. Kids will be distracted as they play around this modern city, although it’s unlikely they would learn much, as Urban City Stories focuses on the fun design and experience rather than teaching anything.
